About the Choir
‘In Harmony’ was formed in January 2013 and performs in a variety of venues around York.
We rehearse in Acomb Methodist Church on Wednesdays at 7.30pm until 9.30pm.
Our rehearsals are held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
New members are welcome to come along for a couple of rehearsals before joining.
There is no formal audition required. You don't need to be able to read music,
though it is an advantage.
In Harmony is a registered charity and is run by a committee.
Committee members, who are all trustees of the charity, are responsible for
managing the choir. This includes arranging concerts, recruiting new members and keeping an eye on the finances of the choir.
We sing a variety of music from medieval to modern, including classical pieces, arrangements of well-loved songs and ballads, through to songs from the shows.

It is also the venue of our summer and Christmas concerts with seating for an audience of 120.
